Chalkida - Nea Artaki - Triatha - Attali - Platana - Psachna
Kondothespoti - Agia Sofia - Limnionas
Pili - Prokopi - Nerotrivia - Daphni

Our starting point is Chalkida. The provincial road going northwards along the coast passes through N. Artaki and comes to Psacnha which is 12 kilometres away. In this area there are the Byzantine monasteries of Triatha, Attali and Platana. From Platana, the road leads us back to Psacnna. Before reaching Psachna you will pass through the community of Makrimallis, with the monastery of the same name, which has the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary. This circular tour is about 27 kilometres.

Chalkis

From Psachna the road leads northwards to Kondothespoti which's is about 8 kilometres away. This ampitheatrical village built in the forest, will offer you traditional hospitality and local products. To the north - east there is a dirt road leading us, after a difficult climb through Dirfi, to the village of Agia Sofia, and ending about 20 kilometres further on at Limniona. A swim in the clear water of the Agean will refresh and revive you.

From Limniona the coastal road continues north and passing through forgotten villages of Mili and Pigathia, it leads us to the picturesque gulf of Sarakiniko with the island of the same name blocking the entrance. A little further on, at Makri Yialo, with is lovely beach, under the shade of the ancient plane - trees, there is a public camping - site. There are many small, quiet coves along the gulf.

Some distance from the sea, we can find the village of Vlachia where we start on the asphalt road again.

The tour of this area, going north - west, is one of the most impressive. Continuing for 12 kilometres along the steep cliffs that reach, down to the Agean and the steep slopes of the mountain on the right are breathtaking. Pili is a thickly - wooded village near the sea with a large beach and clear water.

If you want to avoid the busy main road which goes to Chalkida from Prokopi, you must turn right into a dirt road which embraces the impressive mountain of Kandili and passing through a beautiful mountainous area you will finally reach Nerotrivia. You can choose either Daphni beach to the north, or the large Politika beach further south, for your swim.
